When paint met silk…Erin Petson for Biondi Couture.
“It’s always fun to collaborate with a brand, creating a whole body of new work is so great!”
Dancing like a flame on a sea of white silk, the drawings of Erin Petson become liquid light. Drawing on her signature squiggle, fresh colour and raw fervent lines, Petson’s response to creating a bespoke over-sized square of silk brought the resort sarong into a new realm of luxury and painterly freedom.
Wear it, or frame it!
Commissioned by Biondi Couture of Chelsea, London, Petson opted to explode the usually intimate scale of her art illustrations and draw on the body. The result is a work that evokes Modernism and the endless summer, Capri and Matisse, or anywhere really far from rainy, rainy London.
